The role of today's Diversity & Inclusion leader is a challenging one. The appointment of a D&I specialist usually signals good intent, yet the reality is that this utopia requires many changes to leadership itself – notably behavioural changes – and that some D&I leaders find their budgets curtailed and leadership support muted or limited.
